This is the last job we did in 2012, and was one of the latest exterior jobs we have done. We finished up on about November 15th just in time for the winter to start with snow right around the corner.

Here is a comment from the client, and the type of feedback we are used to getting:

After 18 years of south and west exposure to sun, rain and snow, I was certain there was no hope for them and we would have to replace everything. Our decks (all 5 of them) now look brand new! Hearing this makes all the headaches and setbacks worth the effort.

After brightening. This is where we apply an acid solution to the deck to neutralize any remaining impurities in the surface of the wood that will react with the stain and cause excessively dark and uneven staining. 

After staining and before curing. You can see the stain is still pretty reactive with the metal screws in the wood.  After a day or so it will even out more and also go lighter.  Stain used was natural oak Sikkens SRD and flood solid stain on the railings.  Railing looks a lot better too!
